On a 78-degree day in January, the University Union Plaza transformed into an alpine hillside during the first-ever ASI Events Snow Day. About 20 tons of snow were trucked in to form a snow slide where students raucously raced, three at a time, on plastic sleds. With a flurry of snowflakes in the air, Mustangs built snowmen, enjoyed free donuts and hot chocolate, and took photos on a green-screened ski lift. The event is one of many ASI hosts throughout the year to bring joy to students, especially those who have traded winter weather for sunny days on the Central Coast.
