Cal Poly alumnus Brett Edwards (Business Administration, ’13) wants to empower kids to change the world. Edwards, better known as his rap superhero alter ego Mr. Eco, began rapping about environmental issues as an outreach to Central Coast elementary schools during his time as a student at Cal Poly. Now he’s getting ready to release a 13-track album titled “Renewable Rap.” On the album, Mr. Eco collaborates with children from around the world, performing songs about sustainability and actions individuals can take locally to help animals and ecosystems globally.
