90 Seconds to Sell

How fast could you explain the next big idea? This fall, Cal Poly students competed in a challenge of creativity and concision at the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship’s annual Elevator Pitch Competition. Contestants were selected from a campuswide submission process, and each had just 90 seconds to explain their idea for a new business. The prize: $1,000 in startup funding, plus the attention of a group of Cal Poly-connected potential investors.
